Vicky Speck ABC-CLIO Leadership Award is awarded every year to a leader in the Charleston Conference who has made a lasting contribution to the Conference’s mission. We have given the award to five people previously – Anthony Watkinson (2006), Jack Montgomery (2007), Beth Bernhardt (2008), Heather Miller (2009) and Eleanor Cook (2010).

The 2011 award was given to Glenda Alvin, Tennessee State University, and was announced during the Thursday morning plenary session.

The winner of the 2011 IGI Global Academic Library Sponsorship Program is Wendy Allen Shelburne, Electronic Resources Librarian, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA.

The winner of the 2011 Swets Charleston Conference Scholarship is Amy Elizabeth Hoseth, Assistant Professor / Liaison Librarian, at Colorado State University Libraries.
